Counting Down the Days

Hey everyone!!! We are counting down the days untill Dean comes home!!! Jolie and I are very, very excited.
Jolie has is changing so much and she is just so funny. These pictures of her were taken durning ouir trip to Kansas.
During the month of November Dean aided in finding a Weapon Cache. We are very proud of him. There was an article wrote about this find. Here are links to two different sites that have the article. I hope they work but if they don't just copy and paste them in to the address section.
I hope everything is going good for everyone.

18 Days

Well, we made it back home from Kansas SAFELY!!!! The trip to Kansas was pretty eventful. We were very happy to finally make it to my parents house.

Jolie is doing wonderful. She is growing like a weed and she is finally getting some hair on her head. Her hair is very thin, so when she gets out of the bath tub she looks like she just has a bunch of fuzz stuck up there. She has started sitting up more on her own, the only problem she has is keeping her from falling sideways. She had a great, first Thanksgiving. She even got to try some mashed potatoes and gravy. She was very spoiled over the visit.

Dean is doing fine. He has found out when he will be leaving Iraq to come home for his R & R. If you have any questions about the time when he will be home just let me know and I will get back to you. We miss him so much and I am sure these next several days will go very slow.

I am doing good for the most part. I just miss my husband and wish this deployment was over. We will be home for the next several days and I will be cleaning the house so that when Dean comes home it is nice and tidy. Roscoe is very happy to be at home. He missed us over Thanksgiving and I think he missed his recliner.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving.

Teresa and Jolie

November

Hello everyone!!! I hope everyone survived Halloween and the candy buzz afterwards.

Jolie is doing great. She was a pumpkin for Halloween, and she was so cute. She is growing so fast. She is a little piggy just like her momma and daddy were when they were little. She can gobble that milk down so fast and you better always have a spoonful of food ready for her. She is playing in her Exersaucer now. She finally understands that there are toys to play with.

Dean is doing fine. We still do not know when he will be home for his R&R. He is still going out on 3 to 5 day missions but they have improved alittle because his patrol base now has Internet. This was very exciting for us because I was finally able to see him, and I was so happy to see his smile. The first picture of him is with a pair of Ak47s. And the next one is of him and one of his soldiers after a mission.

I am doing good. I am looking forward to the 17th of November when I will be going back to Kansas to see my family. I am so excited, especially because I get to have Thanksgiving Dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Besperat's house, and we all know what that means...PIE!!!!! I am sure everyone will be very excited to see Jolie. And the other great thing about the trip is that We will be able to eat at Effies. She makes the best Hamburger in all of Kansas.

Well I had better get going, I think I hear my little Pumpkin waking up!!!!

Oh my how they grow

Jolie is now 5 months old. It is amazing how fast time goes when you have a little one. She is quite the little handful when she wants to be. She is practically a pro at eating off of her spoon. She loves to talk to everyone when we are shopping. She has to let everyone know that she is there. She is going to be a pumpkin for halloween. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Dean is doing fine. They keep him very busy. He will hopefully have 3 days off this weekend. Thank you to everyone who has been sending him packages. He tells me that is the only thing they look forward to besides sleeping. If anyone needs his new address, just let me know.

As for me, I have been staying busy with Jolie and I have been sewing purses and diaper bags. I am going to try to sell some of them, but have not figured out how I want to go about it. Let me know what you think of the one in the picture.

Well, I had better go. Jolie is up from her nap and wants some attention.

We miss everyone!!

4 Month Shots

Well today Jolie got her 4 month shots. She did pretty well, of course she fused alittle bit, but I don't think anyone ever enjoys getting shots. She weighs 14 lbs. 7 ozs. and she is 24 inches long. She is growing like crazy. The other night she rolled over from her tummy to her back, I am so proud of her, and today I layed her on the floor, on her back, and when I came back into her room she was on ther tummy. She is a sneaky little girl, she just doesn't want mommy to get the camera out again. Tonight, she made mommy laugh so hard. She had just finished her bottle and was about to fall asleep, and she just starts laughing. Her eyes were closed and she had this huge grin on her face. Of course I started laughing and then she opened her eyes. She didn't stop laughing but I think she started laughing at mommy instead. I have my moments when she drives me crazy and I have my moments when I just want her to stay the way she is now.

Dean is doing well. Still going out on those long missions but he is doing well. He is looking forward to his R & R, just like Jolie and I are. And he wanted me to tell everyone Thank You for the packages you have been sending him.

I am doing well. I stay very busy with Jolie, keeping up the house, keeping up the yard, and staying sane. This mommy stuff is hard work.

I hope everyone is doing great.

Love,

Teresa and Jolie

Dean's New address

Hey everyone,

I hope this finds everyone in good spirits and happy times.

Jolie is a funny little girl. She loves her food and she loves to get it all over herself. Those were sweet potatoes that she was eating and she thought that they were finger-licking good. For the few those of you who are Nascar fans, Jolie is not a Tony Stewart Fan. The had a Tigger Onesie on under the bib. She is going to grow up to be a DALE JR. Fan
For those of you who have been sending packages to Dean, his address is changing and it will probably change again in a month or so. The New address will be at the end of the post. Thank you to those of you who have been sending him packages, and thank you to those of you who have been praying for him. He is doing well.
I am doing fine, could be better, could be worse, so I won't complain. I do miss my Husband, and I wishing that it were December right now.

MMMM....Cereal

Well, Jolie is eating of a spoon now, sort of. That may not make since to everyone, but it is the truth. Half of the time she eats it and the other half of the time she spits it out. She has gotten the hang of swallowing it, so that is improvement. We made a batch of baby food today, so tomorrow we are going to try peas. That should be interesting. Jolie is also grabbing on to toys, burb-rags, and blankets now. She has rolled over once, I am starting to think that it was a fluck because she hasn't done it again, and that was over a week ago. She is growing like a weed, I am not sure how much she weighs but we will find out on the 9th of October, when we go to get her second set of shots.
Dean is doing good. He is still going on patrol missions and getting very little sleep. He just recently had 3 days off of work, which he used to catch up on his sleep. He was also given the opportunity to go into Bagdad. We miss him like crazy. He is such a good husband and he is always asking about his little girl.
I am doing fine. I have good days and I have bad days, just like everyone else has. I read in my spare time, what little time there is, and clean when the house needs it.
I hope everyone else is doing good.

Teresa and Jolie

14 Weeks

Hey everyone! Well Jolie is now 14 weeks old, or 3 and 1/2 months. She is getting so big and she is still as cute as ever. We are still working on rolling over and sitting up but I think we are going to be doing those things very soon. She had her first taste of rice cereal the other night, but she didnt get it last night because she was constipated. We now take a bath in just the blue plastic tub, (it used to have a support in it) and boy does she like to splash. I found a picture of my self the other day and I think I am about the same age as Jolie in it. We look alot more alike than what I thought.

Dean is doing fine. He has been going out on longer missions lately and gets very little sleep. I have been sending him video of Jolie and lots of pictures. We get to talk about every 3 to 4 days and are able to text message each other, all though we dont always get each others messages.

I am doing fine, just staying very busy with Jolie, sending packages to Deana and keeping the grass cut. Mowing the lawn actually gives me some time to think, which might not be a good thing. I really do way to much thinking these days.

I hope everyone else is doing good. We miss everyone.

She is getting so big

Hey Everyone, I am sorry I haven't written in a while. I try to stay really busy, it makes the time seem to go faster.
I am adding some pictures for all to see. The first one is of Jolie and her cousins, Avery and Kinsey. They stopped by on there way back to Greenwood, South Carolina after a trip to the beach. We had a very nice visit with them.
The next picture is from a trip up to South Carolina to visit with Dean's Grandma and Aunt and Uncle. We spent 4 days visiting with them. During that time we went to a Barbecue, we went to the Famous Beacon Drive In, we went to the church that Uncle David works at, and we went to the Airport to pick up Aunt Barbara. The picture was taken after the Barbecue at David and Sandy's house.
The picture of Jolie's feet is so that everyone can see that she has South Carolina Gamecock Booties on. Aunt Sandy and Uncle David bought those for her. Her daddy likes the Gamecocks, and mommy cheers for them to because they don't play K-State that often, if at all. The booties are a perfect fit to her growing toesies.
The last picture is of Dean. This was taken in his Truck. He put it on the computer so that we could see he has our picture with him. We miss him very much and think about him all of the time. He has told us some tentative R and R dates, but I am not telling anyone because they will probably change and there will be tons of confusion.
Jolie and I are doing fine right now. We make a trip to Kansas on the 14th of August and will be leaving on the 25th of August. I am sure it will be a good visit and we are looking forward to it. After that visit we will be headed up to Calhoun, Ga to visit Dean's Family and to go see his Nana.
We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

We are Back

Well, it has been awhile since I have posted anything and I am sure some people are getting ancy and want to know what is going on.

We just spent a week at the beach and it was great. Jolie had her feet in the water and we took several pictures. She was very spoiled with there being 5 people to pick her up whenever she cried. She enjoyed the beach but she was very happy to be home though and out of her carseat.

She is growing like a little weed. We havent measured her recently but I can tell she is getting a lot longer. We even noticed the first signs of rolls forming. We are also ready to move up a diaper size.

Dean is doing okay for all of you who have been asking about him. He is staying very busy over there. He only gets about 6 hours of free time a day and that is to shower and sleep. If anyone wants to send him anything just let me know and I will send you his address.

As for me, reality is about to set in. My mom is leaving to go back to Kansas tomorrow, so I will be on my own. Everyone assures me that I will be fine but I am very nervous. I just know that I will be very, very tired.

Well that is the update from me and I hope everyone else is doing good.

Love,

Teresa and Jolie

Just Be For He Left...

Just before Dean left we took the above pictures. I hope everyone enjoys them. He had to be at Fort Stewart yesterday evening to fly out early this morning. As I am writing this, he may just be getting off of the plane. If anyone is interested in sending him a package I will email you his address. As of now we aren't for sure on what camp he will be at but I will soon find out. If you do want to send a package, he likes snack food, beef jerkey, sunflower seeds, and of course there is always chewing tobacco. He prefers copenhagen long cut but he will chew grizzly red. I am sure he would like to receive any letters and cards, but don't expect him to write you back, I haven't ever received a letter and I wrote him many times.

As for me and Jolie, we are doing okay. We didn't get to bed last night until 1:00 because of taking Dean on post. She was a good little girl and let mommy sleep all the way til 6:30 and then we slept some more. She is a little angel. Her daddy was very sad when he left her but he told her that mommy would take very good care of her. She is growing like a little weed. She is finally starting to fit into some of her onesies and she eats about every 2 hours.

Well, I think she is about to wake up for a feeding so I have to go.

Keep us in your Prayers

Love,

Teresa and Jolie

My little Princess

Hey everyone!! Sorry it has taken me so long to write a new blog. Everything has been very tiring here. From getting up 3 times in the night to watching my husband pack up all of his Army things has been very hard, but I am getting better now.

Dean will be leaving in the early morning of the 15th but I have to take him on post the night of the 14th. It is going to be a rough deployment this time with Jolie and just not being able to see him everynight.

Jolie is doing great. She had her first doctors appointment on the 7th of June and the doctor said she was doing great. She still doesn't really fit into any of her outfits or even her onesies because she is so skinny. She is just so precious even when she is screaming her pretty little head off. She is a very strong little women, and very stubborn .

My mom has been with us since she was born. She has been helping with the dishes, laundry, cleaning and of course with her grandbaby. She has sent pictures to my Dad, Greatgrandma Besperat, and Greatgrandma Goerl if you want to see more pictures. I am sure they would be happy to show you.

Well, I had better go now. It is feeding time and she is like her mommy. When she wants her food she wants it now.

I hope all is well with everyones families.

Love,

Teresa, Jolie, and Dean

She's Here!!

She is here!!! Jolie Beth Satterwhite arrived on May 24th, 2007 at 5:27 pm. She is 6lbs and 18 3/4 inches long. She has blue gray eyes and she has blondish, brown hair. She is just precious.
I was admitted to the hospital on the 23rd of May and was given medicine at 6 o'clock to start softening my cervix. This started small contractions and at 6 am on the 24th they started a different medicine through an IV. The contrations got worse at about 3 pm and then at 4:30 they got really really bad. When I got to be 4 cm dialated the Nurse said I could have my epideral but she checked 10 minutes later and and I was already at 8 cm. Then the nurse said, "Honey, there isn't anytime for an epideral, your having the baby now." At first we thought the nurses were going to have to deliver the baby but the doctor got there in time to catch the baby. I only pushed for about 5 minutes. So I guess that was a short time but it felt like a long time and I guess everyone in the hospital heard me.
Dean has been the perfect husband and the perfect daddy so far. He keeps telling me that he is so proud of me. He helps so much and he is always worried about his little girl.
We are at home now, they released us early so that Dean would have quality time with Jolie at home. Jolie is sleeping peacefully in her bassanet right now. And will eat in about an hour. We are having some issues with that but everyone tells me that it will get better after alittle bit.
We have lots of company right now to help with the baby. Dean's parents and sister Amber are here. My parents are here too. So we have lots of people to help. I will deffinetly be taking some naps while everyone is here.
Well, I know this wasn't very long, but I am very tired and need to go to bed soon.
I hope you enjoy some of the pictures.
Love, Teresa, Dean, and Jolie
