THE CAMPER

It is finally here, THE CAMPER!!! A few days after Christmas, Dean and I decided to buy a camper. The one that we bought was one that we had decided on before he left for Iraq. We hadn't planned on buying one untill he came back but decided we couldn't pass on this deal.

The camper arrived last night, around 6 o'clock, earlier than what was expected, because we hadn't expected it until this morning. So that was a good surprise for Jolie and I. The man who delivered it showed me how to work the pop-out and me a few other important things about the camper. He didn't stay to long to explain things because it was dark and getting colder. So this morning I woke up with hopes of getting to go play in the camper, but it was to cold for Jolie to go outside and play and it was raining. So I had to wait untill Jolie's naptime rolled around and then I got to go play. First things first, I had to make sure the camper was level and I was very proud of myself because I did this all by myself. Dean said he was proud of me too. It was very exciting and being a female of course there were a few important things to look over. I love my new kitchen. It isnt that much smaller than the one that I already have but I am going to have to figure out the new microwave. Then there is the bathroom. I really don't think Dean is going to get much storage space in there with all of the things that Jolie and I will have to take with us. Another high point is the CD player. So of course I had to turn it on, and turn the volume up pretty loud. Bon Jovi came through those speakers and I had to dance a little. Oh, and there are outside speakers to so I am sure the neighbors loved hearing Bon Jovi too!! There is also a very nice flat screen TV out there. Of course all I can watch on it right now is static, unless I take a DVD out there.

I only have a few more boring details to take care of before all the fun stuff starts. Of course I have to go shopping for everything that needs to go inside of it.

My husband is very jealous of me because I am getting to play with it now and he can't. He had me running outside to take pictures while he was on the internet today so I could send them to him. I am sure this is all we will talk about untill he comes home and we are able to take our first trip.

Our first trip is sure to be exciting. We are not sure where we will be going but we know one trip that is for sure and that will be TALLADEGA!!!

Hope everything is going well for everyone reading.

ADDRESS CHANGE

January doesn't seem to be going by fast enough. And life here in Glennville has gone back to its boring self.

Jolie is doing great. She is growing so fast. She is working on crawling and goes in reverse right now. She sits up all by herself now and is just a handful.

Dean is doing good and has a new address. I really dont want to put it on here for everyone to see, so send me an email if you want his new address. He is back to doing the same thing he was doing before he came home and is staying very busy.

I am doing good. Trying to stay busy. Jolie and I will be in Kansas on the 5th of March until the 26th of March. It should be a nice trip. I am excited because I will have people to talk to.

Love,

More Pictures

Here are some more pictures of Dean's time at home!!

2008

Well, 2008 started on a sad note. We had to take Dean to the airport so he could go back to Iraq. The first of the year was the beginning of the second half of the deployment. We are not sure exactly when he will be home for good but we are thinking it will be sometime between July and August. Yes, I know that is still along time away.

Jolie is doing wonderful. She enjoyed having her Daddy home because it was one more person to spoil her. She loves all of her Christmas presents. She has learned to sit up and sometimes she will sit up for as long as 15 minutes without falling over. She is always amazing me, she learns new things daily and is now saying DADA. It is very cute but her Daddy is convinced that it is not him she is referring to, which is may be true, but I still think it is adorable because she did start saying it right after he came home.

We enjoyed every minute of having Dean home. The day that he came home, he and I went up into the mountains for a short little vacation. We spent 3 nights in a cabin in Helen, Ga, all by ourselves. It was great to finally see him after those first 6 months of the deployment. After our short stay in the mountains we went back to Calhoun, Ga, to have Christmas with his family, a couple days early. It was very nice. We were able to see his parents, Amber, Jennifer and her family, his Grandmother, and his Uncle David and Aunt Sandy. We left the following day to go back to our house. It was wonderful to have him back home wear he belongs even if it was just for a short time. It was perfect having Jolie's 1st Christmas at home, and it was even better because her Daddy was able to be there. The rest of the time was spent relaxing and just having a good time together. It was extremely difficult taking him back to the airport, but we did it because his leave time had to end so that the deployment can end. Jolie and I came back to a messy house, and an empty house.

I am doing okay. Of course I am sad, but what is to be expected. Jolie and Dean are truly the most important people in my life. It is hard to have one of those people half way across the world. Oh and of course I have my other baby, Roscoe. Who is just as big of a handful as the other 2 are. I am backing to reading, sewing and taking care of Jolie. Dean has told me to go ahead and sew my little heart out. He thinks that I will be able to sell the stuff that I make, so I am very excited about that but very nervous.

Well I had better end this blog now so that I can get some rest. I want to tell everyone THANK YOU for all the cards and presents for Jolie. She loves all of them.
