She's Here!!

She is here!!! Jolie Beth Satterwhite arrived on May 24th, 2007 at 5:27 pm. She is 6lbs and 18 3/4 inches long. She has blue gray eyes and she has blondish, brown hair. She is just precious.
I was admitted to the hospital on the 23rd of May and was given medicine at 6 o'clock to start softening my cervix. This started small contractions and at 6 am on the 24th they started a different medicine through an IV. The contrations got worse at about 3 pm and then at 4:30 they got really really bad. When I got to be 4 cm dialated the Nurse said I could have my epideral but she checked 10 minutes later and and I was already at 8 cm. Then the nurse said, "Honey, there isn't anytime for an epideral, your having the baby now." At first we thought the nurses were going to have to deliver the baby but the doctor got there in time to catch the baby. I only pushed for about 5 minutes. So I guess that was a short time but it felt like a long time and I guess everyone in the hospital heard me.
Dean has been the perfect husband and the perfect daddy so far. He keeps telling me that he is so proud of me. He helps so much and he is always worried about his little girl.
We are at home now, they released us early so that Dean would have quality time with Jolie at home. Jolie is sleeping peacefully in her bassanet right now. And will eat in about an hour. We are having some issues with that but everyone tells me that it will get better after alittle bit.
We have lots of company right now to help with the baby. Dean's parents and sister Amber are here. My parents are here too. So we have lots of people to help. I will deffinetly be taking some naps while everyone is here.
Well, I know this wasn't very long, but I am very tired and need to go to bed soon.
I hope you enjoy some of the pictures.
Love, Teresa, Dean, and Jolie

New Information

Hey everyone, sorry it has taken me so long to type a new blog. I hope you forgive me.
Well we found out that Dean will be leaving on the 27th of May. They say this because I am to be induced on the 23rd or 24th of May if the baby doesn't come before then. It really stinks because he won't get very much time with the Jolie at home. I am very sad that he has to leave so shortly after she is born but I am also happy that he will get to see the birth. It really is a special time in our lives and he should get to be there.
On to other things, the babies room is coming together. I am making valences to go over the windows. They are very cute but I didn't buy enough ribbon so I am at a stand still. My parents will be bringing a glider for in the babies room and I am very excited about that because it is so comfortable.
My parents will be coming down shortly after the baby is born and Dean's parents will be down here as soon as the baby is born. So we will have lots of family down here. My mom is going to be staying with me after the baby is born so I will have company and will have support because I will need it with Dean leaving and being a new Mommy.
Dean is packing up the last of his stuff that is going to go to Iraq. He doesn't know exactly where he will be going in Iraq but we know that it is close to Baghdad and we don't know exactly what he will be doing over there but I will let you all know as soon as I know.
Right now I have a pie in the oven so Dean remembers that he has a good wife to come home to. I am sure I will be making other goodies for hime before he leaves if Jolie gives me that chance to.
I hope this finds everyone well and in good Health.
Love,
Teresa and Jolie

Good Information

I never thought my belly could be this big but it is getting even bigger. I am amazed by the skins ability to strech, but I am praying that it will go back to normal after a couple of months. The picture posted with this blog is from this morning.

I had a doctors appointment this morning and it seemed to go well. They swaped to see if I had a strep B infection and the checked my cervix. The cervix is still closed but the doctor said that is normal because I still have a full month left in the pregnancy. She also said the baby is in the right postion but still has to move down some more. Dr. Williams said she will induce my labor between the 23rd and 26th of May but not on the 25th because her son is graduating High School.

This past weekend Dean, Melody, and I went to Talladega, Alabama for the Nascar race. That was deffinetly a new experience. There were so many people there and it was very loud. I deffinetly would like to go again but would perfer to not be at the begginning of the 9 month of the pregnancy. There was a lot of walking to do and Dean was hoping that I would go into labor, but I kept telling him that it was a little to early. The race was eventful and fun, althought Dale Earnhardt Jr. did not win. He came in 7th, so it wasn't to bad.

We also found out some new information today. Dean sent a letter to a congressman in Georgia about the problem we were having about him not being able to stay back until the baby was born. The were going to let him stay back only til the 31st of May. We sent a letter telling him the situation and a letter from the doctor. Today his unit received the begginning paperwork from the congressman. Dean's Cpt was not very happy with him for this, but we did not see any other way to get him to stay back. His Cpt and the unit Commander then told him there was a policy called Baby plus 3. This means he will be able to stay back untill the baby is born but then he will leave 3 days after or on the next flight to Iraq. Now if his commanders would have just gave us all this information before instead of jerking us around there wouldn't have been any problems. If the baby is born before the 31st though, he will still leave on the 31st, But we just thank God that he will get to see the birth.

That is all the information I have for now but if I find out any new information, I will let everyone know. And for all of you who read this blog, Dean and I still haven't chosen a middle name for Jolie, so if you have any ideas let us know.

Love,

Teresa & Jolie
