She is here!!! Jolie Beth Satterwhite arrived on May 24th, 2007 at 5:27 pm. She is 6lbs and 18 3/4 inches long. She has blue gray eyes and she has blondish, brown hair. She is just precious.
I was admitted to the hospital on the 23rd of May and was given medicine at 6 o'clock to start softening my cervix. This started small contractions and at 6 am on the 24th they started a different medicine through an IV. The contrations got worse at about 3 pm and then at 4:30 they got really really bad. When I got to be 4 cm dialated the Nurse said I could have my epideral but she checked 10 minutes later and and I was already at 8 cm. Then the nurse said, "Honey, there isn't anytime for an epideral, your having the baby now." At first we thought the nurses were going to have to deliver the baby but the doctor got there in time to catch the baby. I only pushed for about 5 minutes. So I guess that was a short time but it felt like a long time and I guess everyone in the hospital heard me.
Dean has been the perfect husband and the perfect daddy so far. He keeps telling me that he is so proud of me. He helps so much and he is always worried about his little girl.
We are at home now, they released us early so that Dean would have quality time with Jolie at home. Jolie is sleeping peacefully in her bassanet right now. And will eat in about an hour. We are having some issues with that but everyone tells me that it will get better after alittle bit.
We have lots of company right now to help with the baby. Dean's parents and sister Amber are here. My parents are here too. So we have lots of people to help. I will deffinetly be taking some naps while everyone is here.
Well, I know this wasn't very long, but I am very tired and need to go to bed soon.
